The Academic Affairs division leads the overall design, delivery and quality assurance of AEMG’s academic programs. It oversees academic operations, student experience, and partner academic engagement, ensuring programs meet both internal and external academic and compliance standards. The Academic Affairs Division consists of the following departments:
Registrar Office
The Registrar Office oversees academic records, student registration, timetabling and course progression, ensuring academic administration aligns with partner university standards and regulatory compliance.
Cloud Campus
Cloud Campus is AEMG’s digital academic platform, supporting both online program delivery and integrated academic operations. The department is responsible for system development, digital pedagogy, platform support, content management & delivery.
Academic Operations
Academic Operations manages the implementation and coordination of academic programs across delivery locations, ensuring high-quality teaching, learning outcomes and alignment with global partner requirements.
Student Success
The Student Success team supports the learning journey and wellbeing of AEMG students through academic guidance, engagement initiatives and pastoral care, with a focus on retention, satisfaction and outcomes.
Graduate Institute
The Graduate Institute focuses on supporting graduates from AEMG programs. It builds alumni networks, develops pathways to further study or employment and facilitates transition into global opportunities.
Registered Training Organisation
The RTO division is a nationally recognised training body responsible for the delivery of vocational education and training (VET) programs. It ensures compliance with ASQA standards and industry requirements.
Quality & Compliance
The Quality & Compliance team ensures academic and regulatory compliance across all education delivery, managing audits, policy standards, partner agreements and risk controls to maintain academic integrity and accreditation.
The Academic Discipline Coordinator – IT & Computer Science plays a pivotal role in overseeing the academic quality, development and delivery of discipline-specific content across AEMG’s international programs. This includes developing and coordinating disciplinary English learning materials contextualised for IT and Computer Science, supporting academic staff, contributing to quality assurance processes and delivering limited teaching as required.
The role works collaboratively with academic and operational teams to ensure alignment of teaching content with partner university expectations and academic standards, ensuring student preparedness for progression and successful articulation.
1. Teaching
▪Deliver discipline-specific content in English (including disciplinary English) in a hybrid mode, with in-person teaching at Chinese partner universities as required
▪Adhere to assigned teaching workload allocations and contribute to student success in targeted academic pathways
2. Curriculum Development
•Design, update and maintain curriculum and learning materials for discipline subjects within the IT & Computer Science field
•Manage and curate course content on AEMG’s Cloud Campus Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring alignment with partner and academic requirements
3. Academic Administration
▪CAP Programs: Coordinate with Global Partner academics, Chinese co-teachers and AEMG teaching operations staff to ensure timely scheduling and delivery of teaching visits
▪QP and ICC Programs: Liaise with discipline teachers, Chinese co-teachers and internal stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of programs and timely resolution of delivery challenges
▪Prepare reports on academic performance and participate in academic review meetings as required
▪Actively engage in professional development, committee participation, and teaching and learning enhancement activities
4. Data Analysis & Reporting
▪Analyse academic performance and student progression data in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
▪Prepare regular reports for AEMG senior leadership and accrediting bodies, highlighting key insights and opportunities for improvement
5. Other Duties
▪Participate in planning and academic operations meetings as required
▪Undertake other responsibilities appropriate to the level of the role as directed by the Associate Executive Dean or Vice President – Academic
Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a closely related field (Ph.D. preferred).
Demonstrated teaching excellence in Computer Science at the tertiary level.
Experience in curriculum development, course coordination, and academic quality assurance.
Strong understanding of contemporary trends in computer science education and emerging technologies.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
Experience with digital learning platforms, educational technologies, and blended learning approaches is an advantage.
