AEMG’s Academic Affairs Division

The Academic Affairs division leads the overall design, delivery and quality assurance of AEMG’s academic programs. It oversees academic operations, student experience, and partner academic engagement, ensuring programs meet both internal and external academic and compliance standards. The Academic Affairs Division consists of the following departments:

Registrar Office

The Registrar Office oversees academic records, student registration, timetabling and course progression, ensuring academic administration aligns with partner university standards and regulatory compliance.

Cloud Campus

Cloud Campus is AEMG’s digital academic platform, supporting both online program delivery and integrated academic operations. The department is responsible for system development, digital pedagogy, platform support, content management & delivery.

Academic Operations

Academic Operations manages the implementation and coordination of academic programs across delivery locations, ensuring high-quality teaching, learning outcomes and alignment with global partner requirements.

Student Success

The Student Success team supports the learning journey and wellbeing of AEMG students through academic guidance, engagement initiatives and pastoral care, with a focus on retention, satisfaction and outcomes.

Graduate Institute

The Graduate Institute focuses on supporting graduates from AEMG programs. It builds alumni networks, develops pathways to further study or employment and facilitates transition into global opportunities.

Registered Training Organisation

The RTO division is a nationally recognised training body responsible for the delivery of vocational education and training (VET) programs. It ensures compliance with ASQA standards and industry requirements.

Quality & Compliance

The Quality & Compliance team ensures academic and regulatory compliance across all education delivery, managing audits, policy standards, partner agreements and risk controls to maintain academic integrity and accreditation.

About the Position

The Associate Executive Dean – Collaborative Articulation Program (CAP) provides academic and operational leadership for AEMG’s discipline-based articulation programs delivered in partnership with Chinese universities and global partner institutions. The role ensures that CAP offerings are academically sound, pedagogically aligned, and compliant with relevant institutional and regulatory standards.

Reporting to the Vice President – Academic, the Associate Executive Dean plays a critical role in maintaining academic quality, supporting curriculum alignment, leading teaching teams, and ensuring students are well-prepared for successful articulation into global partner programs.

This position works closely with academic leadership, discipline coordinators, and internal stakeholders across AEMG to strengthen the CAP framework and drive academic excellence across all participating institutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Academic Program Oversight

▪ Provide academic leadership and coordination across CAP partnerships to ensure curriculum integrity and delivery consistency

▪ Monitor and support partners in the development, review and implementation of course outlines and learning outcomes in alignment with partner university requirements

▪ Support the integration of global academic standards into locally delivered programs

2. Team Leadership & Academic Staffing

▪ Lead and manage Discipline Coordinators across key subject areas in support of CAP partnerships, fostering collaboration, capability development and quality delivery

▪ Facilitate professional development and training opportunities for teaching staff in alignment with current pedagogical best practice

▪ Support recruitment and onboarding of academic staff to meet discipline needs

3. Quality Assurance & Compliance

▪ Ensure all academic activities meet relevant internal, partner university and regulatory standards

▪ Monitor academic performance metrics and outcomes across disciplines and implement improvement strategies where required

▪ Participate in audits, program evaluations, and academic reporting cycles

▪ Chair Academic Advisory Board meetings as required for CAP partnerships

4. Student Pathway Management

▪ Monitor and support student transfer processes into global partner universities

▪ Work with discipline coordinators and student success teams to enhance academic readiness and progression outcomes

▪ Support the development of articulation maps, advanced standing policies, and program advice materials

5. Stakeholder Engagement

▪ Liaise with internal stakeholders, partner universities and Chinese institutions to maintain alignment and support delivery of CAP objectives

▪ Represent the CAP team in academic committees, strategic working groups and partner university meetings as required

▪ Contribute to the development of new articulation pathways and enhancements to existing offerings

6. Academic Strategy & Innovation

▪ Contribute to the strategic direction of the CAP portfolio in response to sector trends and partner needs

▪ Lead or participate in projects that enhance academic delivery, digital engagement or curriculum renewal across CAP disciplines

▪ Support the integration of teaching and learning technologies to improve delivery quality and student engagement

Qualifications & Experience

  • A doctoral degree in a field relevant to Education, a relevant discipline area, or academic leadership

  • A minimum of 8–10 years of academic experience, including curriculum leadership or senior program administration

  • Proven track record in academic planning, quality assurance, and student-centered education

  • Demonstrated understanding of post-secondary access, academic pathways, and student transition models

  • Experience managing interdisciplinary teams and working across academic and administrative units

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross-cultural communication skills, particularly in the Chinese and global university context

  • High-level written, organisational and analytical skills

  • Strong commitment to educational equity, access, and inclusive excellence
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
