AEMG’s Academic Affairs Division

The Academic Affairs division leads the overall design, delivery and quality assurance of AEMG’s academic programs. It oversees academic operations, student experience, and partner academic engagement, ensuring programs meet both internal and external academic and compliance standards. The Academic Affairs Division consists of the following departments:

Registrar Office

The Registrar Office oversees academic records, student registration, timetabling and course progression, ensuring academic administration aligns with partner university standards and regulatory compliance.

Cloud Campus

Cloud Campus is AEMG’s digital academic platform, supporting both online program delivery and integrated academic operations. The department is responsible for system development, digital pedagogy, platform support, content management & delivery.

Academic Operations

Academic Operations manages the implementation and coordination of academic programs across delivery locations, ensuring high-quality teaching, learning outcomes and alignment with global partner requirements.

Student Success

The Student Success team supports the learning journey and wellbeing of AEMG students through academic guidance, engagement initiatives and pastoral care, with a focus on retention, satisfaction and outcomes.

Graduate Institute

The Graduate Institute focuses on supporting graduates from AEMG programs. It builds alumni networks, develops pathways to further study or employment and facilitates transition into global opportunities.

Registered Training Organisation

The RTO division is a nationally recognised training body responsible for the delivery of vocational education and training (VET) programs. It ensures compliance with ASQA standards and industry requirements.

Quality & Compliance

The Quality & Compliance team ensures academic and regulatory compliance across all education delivery, managing audits, policy standards, partner agreements and risk controls to maintain academic integrity and accreditation.

About the Position

The Curriculum / Pedagogical Leader is responsible for advancing curriculum design and enhancing pedagogical practices across AEMG’s academic programs. This cross-functional role provides academic leadership in program development, teaching innovation and educator capability-building, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and learner needs.

Working under the Director – Teaching and Learning Design / Student Experience, the role collaborates with academic teams to design and review curriculum, embed inclusive and evidence-based teaching methodologies, and strengthen learning experiences across delivery sites. This position plays a key part in shaping AEMG’s academic excellence and supporting the continuous improvement of teaching and learning across disciplines and programs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Curriculum Development & Review

▪ Lead and contribute to the design, mapping, and review of academic programs and course structures

▪ Support alignment of curriculum with graduate outcomes, articulation pathways and partner institution requirements

▪ Collaborate with discipline and program coordinators to ensure consistency and academic integrity across delivery modes

2. Pedagogical Leadership

▪ Promote and support evidence-based teaching approaches that enhance student engagement and learning outcomes

▪ Provide academic guidance on inclusive, culturally responsive, and digitally enabled pedagogies

▪ Facilitate the integration of learner-centred strategies across teaching and assessment practices

3. Academic Capability Development

▪ Contribute to academic professional development activities focused on teaching effectiveness and curriculum renewal

▪ Develop resources, toolkits and guidelines to support academic staff in applying effective instructional approaches

▪ Support the induction of new teaching staff in AEMG’s curriculum frameworks and pedagogical expectations

4. Cross-Program Collaboration

▪ Work across AEMG’s academic programs to provide consistent academic and pedagogical support

▪ Participate in curriculum panels, academic design working groups and quality improvement initiatives

▪ Liaise with internal teams (Cloud Campus, Academic Operations, Compliance) to ensure cohesion in academic delivery

5. Quality Assurance & Compliance Support

▪ Assist in maintaining academic quality through participation in internal reviews and program evaluations

▪ Support the alignment of curriculum and pedagogy with relevant academic policies and partner institution requirements

▪ Provide advice on assessment design, academic integrity and learner experience improvement

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education, Curriculum Design, or a related academic discipline

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in curriculum development and academic quality assurance, preferably in international or transnational education

  • Sound knowledge of pedagogical frameworks and innovative teaching practices in higher education

  • Demonstrated ability to support academic staff through curriculum design and professional learning

  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage across functions and cultures

  • Familiarity with digital learning platforms, learning management systems (e.g. Moodle, Canvas), and online pedagogy

  •  Understanding of academic compliance standards and quality frameworks within higher education
