About AEMG

AEMG Education is a leading international education organisation with a growing higher education portfolio. We are seeking a Senior Compliance & Policy Manager to play a hands-on role in strengthening our compliance, governance and academic quality frameworks.

This role suits an experienced TEQSA compliance professional who enjoys detailed policy work and influencing stakeholders through expertise rather than delegation.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will be responsible for ensuring AEMG’s higher education operations align with the TEQSA Higher Education Standards Framework (HESF 2021) and remain audit ready.

A key focus of the role is the review and re‑writing of existing policies and procedures that are outdated or no longer fit for purpose. This is a highly hands-on position where you will be directly drafting policies, preparing evidence and supporting governance processes.

You will manage one direct report, the Compliance Officer, and work closely with academic leaders and governance bodies.

  • Lead and support compliance with TEQSA and HESF 2021

  • Review, update and develop academic and governance policies and procedures

  • Maintain a TEQSA-aligned self-assurance and evidence framework

  • Support audits, accreditations and regulatory submissions

  • Prepare papers and reports for governance bodies

  • Attend Academic Senate meetings and take formal minutes

  • Support academic quality assurance including course review and academic integrity

  • Support governance frameworks for offshore delivery and partnerships

  • Provide guidance, coaching and oversight to the Compliance Officer

About You

You are a credible and confident compliance professional who is comfortable doing the work yourself and engaging directly with academic stakeholders.

Essential

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field

  • Demonstrated TEQSA compliance experience in higher education

  • Strong knowledge of the Higher Education Standards Framework

  • Proven experience writing and re-writing policies and procedures

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to influence and build strong working relationships

Desirable

  • Experience supporting Academic Senate

  • Line management or mentoring experience

  • Exposure to transnational or offshore education delivery
